Joe Biden has been officially diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer.
His prostate issues were brought up during his presidency, but this latest check by his doctors, who somehow "missed" his cognitive decline, now report his prostate cancer has traveled to his bone.
He's got a "Gleason" score of 9. This apparently means "indicates highly aggressive disease where most cancer cells are poorly differentiated and likely to grow/spread rapidly. This score combines two Gleason grades (typically 4+5 or 5+4), with grade 5 cells showing the most abnormal appearance.
His personal office issued this statement an hour or so ago on Sunday.
Pray for Joe Biden and his family. Please give him blessed peace at this difficult time, Lord.
I predicted something like this after he left the presidency. I wrote that soon after Biden left office that his family would announce that he was too infirm, non compos mentis, or afflicted with something that would result in him having to retire from public view.
