Spycraft isn't usually what you see in the movies or read about in adventure books (although these spy books are plenty awesome —looking at you Kyle Mills, DonBentley Brad Thor, Vince Flynn). It's gritty, it's ugly, and in modern times often requires just as much history & technology expertise as marksmanship. Intelligence operators are some of the most highly-skilled, dangerous people on the planet. So, when their skills are misused by the political elite against US citizens solely for the gain of political capital, the consequences can ruin careers, lives, and fragile peace.
Charles "Sam" Faddis is a former CIA operative who led the first incursion into Iraq in the run-up to the 2003 invasion of that country, and headed the WMD unit of the agency's Counter-Terrorism Center. He also served as an officer of the US Army's Judge Advocate General Corps, so he cares a great deal about preserving justice in a world where due process seems to have given way to backroom dealings within agencies ...
So, my spidey senses thought something was going on today with the internet dysfunction today. If you saw my live video earlier today (which I've since deleted for a variety of reasons) you know what I'm talking about.
Here's my original message that I cut in the studio right after the internet outages began.
And then there's what happened tonight versus what I told you early this afternoon. Go Israel. I pray for our friends from Iran.

In the latest Adult in the Room Podcast, former Trump lawyer, John Eastman, was targeted by the left for representing the president after 2020. Here's a highlight (lowlight) from the program about how the incredibly absurd levels the DOJ and lawfare regime went to get a legal gotcha. It's a real head shaker.
*Eastman had skin cancer surgery which is why he's wearing a bandage.
ON THE LATEST Adult In the Room Podcast: Attorney & legal scholar John Eastman served as an advisor to Donald Trump’s campaign team during the 2020 election cycle. After questions were raised about the validity of the election results in many locations, Eastman proposed a path for the team to contest the results. Now, for submitting what many of his supporters say was merely a thought exercise at worst, Eastman is facing indictments in multiple states and a federal charge that still hangs over his head as of this episode being published, in the wake of Donald’s Trump’s historic string of Day 1 executive orders ...

When a spy thriller author advises you to watch something or read something, you listen.
In this case, Vince Flynn author DonBentley advised me to watch Slow Horses, whose latest season is out now. And in one of our last conversations, Don mentioned Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy which made me want to watch the movie and gobble up le Carré novels. I'm trying, but the Adult In the Room Podcast Hot Book Summer has me picking up a LOT of books.
So in honor of Don coming back in a couple of weeks to visit about his latest Vince Flynn thriller, "Double Tap," I'm going to re-watch "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" and my husband and I will be getting up to speed on the latest Slow Horses season.
Here's a taster of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy from 2011.
